You would have been hard-pressed to find a Bulma action figure years ago, but more recently she is finally being shown the love and respect she deserves. Bulma is being immortalized into action figures and collectible form, in a plethora of styles that truly showcase her contribution to one of the best anime franchises in history.

Bulma is the first and most significant female character of the entire Dragonball series, as it’s her search for the Dragonballs themselves that Goku joins in the story line. Bulma is also significant to the series through her friendship with Goku, as well as a relationship with Yamcha, eventual marriage to Vegeta and being the mother of Trunks.

So, without further ado, here are the 13 best Bulma action figures of all time, ranked from worst to best.

#13 Dragonball Z Bulma from Frieza Saga with Ginyu Frog

Potential Investment Value: 4/5 stars
Overall Quality: 2/5 stars

A rare find, this is the Dragonball Z Bulma action figure, as she appeared in the Frieza Saga storyline of the second series of the franchise. This figure is simply an action figure. It is a partially articulated, small figure, packaged in a plastic case with arms and legs that have minimal movement. The details of the figure are also minimal and pretty basic when compared to other collectibles.

The figure is from 2002 and is all but gone these days, making it incredibly hard to find, and expensive when found. The figure is modeled after Bulma’s look during the Frieza Saga storyline from Dragonball Z. Bulma is wearing a sort of fully covered battle outfit, compared to her usual casual and utilitarian looks. Her hair is in a short bob-cut and put in a hair band to keep out of her face. The figure also comes with a Ginyu frog, which is what Captain Ginyu was transformed into during the storyline.

While it is considered rare, the figure itself is nothing special given its styling and design. You can find it on Amazon here: Bulma DBZ figure with Ginyu Frog.

#12 Dragonball Z Vegeta and Bulma Wedding Day Model

The Dragonball Z Vegeta and Bulma Wedding Day display figure features not just Bulma, but also her immediate family. The figure is more for display purposes and comes with the characters on a stylized base that is part of the thematic design.

Standing at 22 cm, the figure features Bulma in an all-white wedding dress, holding a bouquet coyly over her face. Beside her stands Vegeta in an all-white suit, sporting his usual scowl. The display also sees a young baby Trunks crying in the corner, which is an odd choice if this is to be their wedding scene. All the characters stand on a cobbled street, with a Palm tree in the background and a picket fence in front. The scene truly paints an image of family, happiness and a celebration.

Having married the initial villain become anti-hero Vegeta, this figure perfectly captures a different side of Bulma that we’re used to seeing. While Bulma is usually shown with her gadgets, vehicles and in her basic and utility outfits, it’s great to have a figure of her from an event that was incredibly significant for the character, as well as the advancement of the Dragonball story. Most Dragonball figures are all action and adventure, while this one is more sweet, showcasing a celebratory moment in the characters’ lives.

Unfortunately, though, the statue is not articulate at all, and solely for display purposes.

#11 Banpresto Dragon Ball Z SCultures Big Figure Colosseum 7 Volume 5 – Bulma

Articulation: 0/5 stars

Accessories: 0/5 stars
Potential Investment Value: 3/5 stars
Overall Quality: 2/5 stars

Bulma is the first female character to appear in the Dragonball series and remains an integral part of the story. Given that, over the years she has had many different outfits and looks as she’s grown up and matured. While there are many variations of Bulma, The SCultures line of Banpresto figures features Bulma how she first appeared in the Dragonball franchise. Running into a young Goku in that first episode of Dragonball, which kickstarted the entire franchise, this Bulma is very young and her outfit resembles that as well.

Created by Banpresto, this Bulma figure is completely non-articulated and stands at 5 inches tall. The figure has the same outfit Bulma wore in that first episode and features the same hair color. This Bulma also has non-removable accessories on it, such as a belt pouch, and holding a gadget, in keeping with her tech-genius personality.

The figure was designed by artist Kai TK, and while the figure looks good, it feels dated and the quality isn’t as impressive as the others on the list. However, it’s a good find given that it’s a classic Bulma that there aren’t many versions available.

Articulation: 1/5 stars

Potential Investment Value: 3/5 stars
Over all Quality: 3/5 stars

Bulma is known for her gadgetry and technological knowledge and expertise. She always has innovative solutions for the toughest problems. One of Bulma’s staples is the various vehicles she uses to get around. The first Dragonball series saw her in a cool motorcycle which is the basis for Megahouses’s Desktop Real McCoy line of figure, Dragonball 06 – Son Goku & Bulma.

Continuing with the classic Bulma look, this figure is a desktop model that recreates an iconic scene from the Dragonball franchise; when Goku meets Bulma for the first time. Bulma is featured in the same outfit as #11, however, it’s a cleaner and more brightly colored look that doesn’t feel older, despite being from an older part of the franchise. Goku is featured here as a young boy, and the detailing on his facial expressions captures the child-like joy of the character.

The figures are removable from the bike, making this a somewhat customizable desktop figure, which can also be displayed. It’s a fun and lighthearted figure from a franchise that is usually more action and adventure. The figure also perfectly captures the moment when the adventures of the franchise began.

It’s a clean and simple figure that has many layers of enjoyment for casual or loyal fans of all ages.

Funko Pop! is a figure company that has had a meteoric rise in the last few years as the #1 source for collectible low-cost action figures from all varieties of fandom, including Dragonball.

Funko Pop!’s collection of Dragonball figures sees two distinct versions of Bulma. As mentioned earlier on this list, the early Dragonball incarnation of Bulma is a fan-favorite, as being ‘classic Bulma’. Funko has their own version of the figure in the same outfit and look as per her first appearance in Dragonball.

This figure features the same large head as other Pop!s with Bulma’s hair tied in a loose ponytail with strands of hair on her face. The smaller body features the same dress she wore in the first Dragonball episode, with her name monogrammed across her chest. Bulma is also seen as holding the Dragon Radar that allows her to find the Dragonballs during her adventure.

The second Funko Pop! Bulma figure has more story built into it. While the first one featured an original look at the character, the second figure is from the second Dragonball series, Dragonball Z, similar to #13 on the list.

This Pop! figure showcases Bulma with her hands on her hips, a scowl on her face, and the same bob-cut haircut and combat outfit she wore during the Frieza Saga storyline on Dragonball Z. This Pop! is full of attitude and spunk and, despite the simplicity of Funko’s figures, is able to properly capture the essence of Bulma as a character in the series.

Another addition to the Dragonball collection for young or casual fans.

#7 Banpresto Dragon Ball Glitter & Glamours Bulma Bloomers

Potential Investment Value: 2/5 stars
Overall Quality: 3/5 stars

The best thing about collectible action figures is that there are also a wide range of variants that are available. Variants are essentially actions figures that don’t follow the canon of the Anime or Manga that the characters are based on, or feature uncommon outfits by the characters. One of those variants for Bulma comes from Banpresto as part of their Glitters & Glamour line with the Bulma Bloomers figure.

This Bulma figure is a lot more playful and flirtatious than the others on this list. The figure features a more grown-up Bulma, in a camo bikini top, short shorts, with straps on her legs for her gadgets and equipment, along with combat boots. She’s also got her hair pulled up and holding a rifle.

It’s a very coy and mature figure which is unique for the franchise and definitely showcases another side of the character that’s not seen in the Animes or Mangas.

#6 Megahouse Dragon Ball Gals Bulma (Arabian Ver.)

Another variant edition of Bulma comes with Megahouses’s Dragon Ball Gals line, with a unique Arabian Version. This Bulma is seen with the same physical features of traditional Bulma, but with an Arabian Harem girl outfit. This is a depiction of how Bulma was seen in Monster Carrot’s village in an episode of the original Dragonball series.

This Arabian outfit is perfect for fans who are not only fans of Dragonball, but also if they want to combine that love with Disney’s Aladdin as well. This outfit can easily look like it’s a mashup of both those fandoms. It’s also incredibly refreshing to see a character from a Japanese Anime depicted in the clothes of a different culture. However, the physical embellishments in the design may make this figure incredibly adult appropriate.

#5 Megahouse Dragon Ball Gals Bulma (Bunny Girl Ver.)

Articulation: 0/5 stars

Potential Investment Value: 3/5 stars
Overall Quality: 3/5 stars

Megahouse seems to dominate with the variant versions of Bulma, in another edition of their Dragon Ball Gals figure series. This time, Bulma is made to be a lot more adult themed, in an outfit that is very reminiscent of the Playboy Bunny outfit.

Featuring in an episode of Dragonball, This Bulma figure has of course been embellished to make Bulma seem a lot more curvaceous and sexy than the Anime ever did. The costume features a skin-tight unitard, with black stocking, red high heels, a red bow tie, and bunny ears. While the Playboy mansion doesn’t necessarily exist as part of the Dragonball universe, it’s not hard to see the influences in this design.

The figure itself stands at 7.5 inches, made of PVC material, and is a unique and never before seen style of figurine.

#4 Megahouse Dragon Ball Z: Real McCoy 03: Bulma Desktop Statue

Megahouses’s Real McCoy line of figures makes another entry in this list, with a figure that is pure art. The Bulma Desktop Statue is a wonderful piece that is a must-have for any collector. Featuring a wide-base and beautiful detail, this statue looks like a prestige piece that needs to be on the shelf of any true collector.

The Bulma Desktop Statue is similar in design to #3, however, without the customizing, changing or articulation. It’s a completely non-articulate design that rests on a display base. The design features the same practical mechanic look for Bulma, as she has her visors on and riding her motorcycle. The statue is a snapshot of her driving fast, as her hair can be seen waiving in the wind. The fine details, aesthetics and pose for this figures makes it a must-have.

The Megahouse Dragonball Z: Real McCoy – Bulma Desktop statue is one for the books, as it’s a beautiful piece of Dragonball collectible.

#3 Bandai Figure-rise Mechanics Bulma’s Variable No.19 Motorcycle

Articulation: 4/5 stars
Detail: 3/5 stars
Accessories: 3/5 stars
Potential Investment Value: 2/5 stars
Overall Quality: 4/5 stars

Another Bulma bike figurine comes in the form of Bandai’s FigureRise Mechanics line, and it’s amazing! The FigureRise Mechanics line of Bandai focuses more on the different but unique vehicles from the Dragonball franchise. Bulma’s Variable No. 19 Motorcycle is another Bulma figure with her bike, but this is a unique one.

This figure contains an articulated Bulma action figure that features Bulma in her trademarked hair tied back, with a white tee, cargo pants, and combat boots; the look is very much of the type of inventive and grease-monkey character that Bulma is shown to be during the franchise. But that’s not the best thing about this figure.

The motorcycle itself is one of the most unique aspects of this line. The motorcycle can transform into three different modes, while still being driven by Bulma. The regular mode is the bike mode, that sees Bulma in a motorcycle that’s similar to the other models she is known as riding in the Manga or Anime series. The bike can then be reconfigured into a tri-wheel vehicle with Bulma leaning back into it. The best version, however, is the bi-ped mode, which sees Bulma stand up, with the wheels on her feet and additional arms on the vehicle for combat or technical work.

This figure is one of the best on the list because it can be changed up between the different modes, depending on what your mood happens to be at the time. It’s almost like having 3 separate figures in one. The customization makes this a unique one that stands from other most non-articulate figures, while still not compromising on detail, aesthetics or functionality.

#2 Megahouse Dragon Ball Glitter & Glamours Bulma II

Articulation: 0/5 stars
Detail: 4/5 stars
Accessories: 0/5 stars
Potential Investment Value: 2/5 stars
Over all Quality: 4/5 stars

The follow up to Megahouse’s original Bulma figure, part of the same Glitter & Glamours line, is the Bulma II. This one is a much more casual look and vibe to Bulma that doesn’t sexualize her, but neither does it make seem only action oriented.

The non-articulate figure showcases a cooler and more teenage looking Bulma, sporting a wide rimmed baseball cap with her name emblazoned on it, something that’s usually on her shirt. The look is accompanied by a bomber jacket and gloves over shorts, leg warmers, and sneakers. The teal and turquoise color combination is also a throwback to the usual Capsule Corp. colors from the Dragonball Z series. The figure is also available in a variant color with a bright red jacket.

The figure is extra special because it’s incredibly slick and modern looking, and screams more of a modern-day comic book look than that of an Anime.

#1 Tamashii Nations S. H. Figuart’s Bulma

Articulation: 4/5 stars
Detail: 5/5 stars
Accessories: 5/5 stars
Potential Investment Value: 4/5 stars
Overall Quality: 5/5 stars

The best Bulma figure out there has to be S. H. Figuart’s Bulma. While all the other figures on this list feature individual aspects of Bulma’s personality such as innovative, feminine, sexy, smart, action star, this is the only figure that captures all those elements simultaneously. This is achieved by how articulate the figure is, and the insane amount of detail that has gone into the character.

Figuarts Bulma figure sees the character in a white tank top with her trademark hair pulled into a side pony. She has wristbands and a protective shoulder pad along with elbow pads on her arms. Her bottoms are pants with a full leg on one side, and shorts on the other. She wears combats boots as she’s ready for action, and also has removable goggles and a gun and many other accessories.

This Bulma figure is completely articulate and features many different poses, styles, accessories, and much more to make this one of, (if not the) best Bulma action figure.
